HTC is the latest company to enter the 5G race. The company is all set to introduce first 5G smartphone this year, but details about the device are yet to be revealed. The reports suggest, the Taiwanese company can launch its first 5G smartphone in July this year. However, the questions are still on whether it will be a flagship smartphone or not.

HTC Taiwan's general manager, Chen Boyu confirmed his company will introduce a 5G smartphone in Taiwan as soon as 5G services will be launched in the country.

Taiwan is about to launch 5G services this July. So, to take early advantage, the HTC smartphone is also expected to launch around same time of launch of 5G services in the country.
The another reports suggest that this new smartphone may not be widely available. So, the question is, if it is not meant to launch widely across the nations, will it be able to withstand in smartphone market again after a couple of years?
