Motorola One Fusion+ is a notch-less display smartphone with a pop-up selfie camera. The device was launched in Europe with a price of €299 (Around RS. 25,500) featuring Snapdragon 730 processor. However, the Indian version of the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 730G processor and priced at Rs. 16,999. The device is powered by Snapdragon 730G SoC processor and having a 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage which can be expanded upto 1TB with microSD card.

Nokia is bringing its almost 13 years old feature phone back in India. The Nokia 5310 Xpress Music feature phone was launched back in 2007. And now, the company is going to re-launch this feature phone in India on June 16.

It's a bit of surprise to launch a feature phone in smartphone era. But Still, Nokia 5310 was proven hit at the time of its launch back in 2007. The phone is an emotion for many as well. So, it will surely attract the users once again.

The feature phone runs on Nokia Series 30+ software, and comes with a 2.4-inch QVGA colour display, dual front-facing speakers, and physical keypad.
Nokia 5310 has a VGA camera with flash-light and there's a 1,200mAh removable battery. Other features of the phone include MP3 player and FM radio.

Availability

The new Nokia 5310 2020 set to launch on June 16 in India. The phone will be available in three colour options - White, Red and Black.

The Flexible Smartphone

Samsung is one of the leading smartphone brands when it comes to foldable smartphones. The company has already launched Samsung Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip smatphones. And they are also working on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 2.
Now, a new patent by Samsung shows another unique design which is clamshell-like fold. The new design shows the two foldable lines - each from top and bottom. The bottom part can be folded to the front and the top one towards the back of the phone.

However, as you can see from the image, the device cannot be folded into a completely flat design.

It is a quite weird design. The main concern about this design is its clamshell-like design. Will it be able to make its way into daily life as it would be difficult to carry. The concept and thinking is unique but there will be uncertainty about this kind of smartphone whether it will be accepted by users or not.

However, the patent approval doesn't necessarily mean that the company will definitely launch the same design smartphone. But it will be interesting to see, if Samsung is thinking to launch such clamshell-like design smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy A31

Samsung has been launching new smartphones one after another. Few days back, it had announced Samsung Galaxy M31 with 8GB RAM Variant. Now the company has launched the new Samsung Galaxy A31 smartphone in India. The device was launched few months ago globally.

Samsung Galaxy A31 is a successor to its Samsung Galaxy A30 launched back in February last year. The new smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM. It includes in-display fingerprint scanner and 15W fast charging. The device comes with three colour variants.

Price & Specifications

Talking about specifications, The Galaxy A31 features a dew-drop notch at the top center. The device houses many features which we will talk about one by one here :-

Display

Talking about display, it comes with a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel and resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. It has Infinity-U style notch. Samsung is known for its display and cameras. And this device also brings a delightful colour display.
It also include in-display fingerprint scanner along with face unlocking.

Processor

The Samsung Galaxy A31 is being powered by MediaTek Helio P65 processor which is a bit surprising thing. Instead of processors like Snapdragon SoC, Samsung has opted for MediaTek Helio P65 that too in a smartphone with 20K+ price.

Camera

Leaving aside the processor, the smartphone bags the quad camera setup on its back panel. The camers in back panel involve 48MP f/2.0 primary lens, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, a 5MP depth(f/2.4) and a 5MP macro(f/2.4) lens camera.
While the front side involves a 20MP selfie Camera.

Battery

Talking about battery, the devices brings with it a 5000 mAh battery which is quite good. The 5000 mAh battery is a plus point for any smartphone nowadays.
Apart from that it also supports 15W fast charging.

Storage

The Galaxy A31 comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal memory expandable upto 512GB. From storage perspective, internal memory is sufficient enough to capture pictures, records videos and store other data in device. But 6GB of RAM with MediaTek Helio P65 processor will not be much effective for gaming, multi-tasking etc.


Other Features

Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, 4G, Wi-Fi(2.4GHz, 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Samsung Knox security and Dolby Atmos surround sound.

Price and Availability

The new Samsung Galaxy A31 - 6GB RAM and 128GB internal memory, comes with a price tag of Rs. 21,999. However, with all these features especially the processor, the price of this smartphone would have been better under Rs. 20,000.

The device is available in three premium crush colour options - Black, Blue and White.
The smartphone will be available on Samsung's official website, Flipkart, Amazon and offline retail stores.

Redmi 9 Series

Few days back, after the launch of Realme Narzo Series smartphones, we shared some information (expected) about the specifications and price of Redmi 9 and 9A, from the sources. The launch of these smartphones was also expected on May 22nd for Redmi 9A and June 1st for Redmi 9. However, Xiaomi hasn't released these smartphones yet.
Now, from a popular leakster on twitter, we get to know about the Redmi 9 Series smartphones and their specs with expected price. The Redmi 9 Series is inclusive of three smartphone models :-
  • Redmi 9A - The Cheapest Model
  • Redmi 9C - The Vanilla Model
  • Redmi 9 - The Pro Model

Redmi 9A - Specifications

Xiaomi Redmi 9A will be the cheapest model in Redmi 9 Series. The smartphone will have 6.53-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. The device will be powered by a new chipset - MediaTek Helio G25 with Mali-G31 GPU. It will be quite interesting to see the performance of this device as it will introduce the MediaTek's new processor in the market. Apart from that the device will have a 5000mAh battery which is also a plus point from performance perspective. Talking about camera, Redmi 9A likely to have 5MP Front facing(Selfie) camera and 13MP Rear camera. The smartphone will have a fingerprint sensor as usual nowadays and will come with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
As per the new leaks, the expected price of Redmi 9A will be around Rs. 9000. With this price and features, the smartphone will be a good buy except for its front camera. Overall it is a complete budget smartphone.

Redmi 9C - Specifications

Xiaomi Redmi 9C is a new addition to the series. From earlier leaks, Redmi 9 & 9A were revealed. However, Redmi 9C isn't having much difference from the Redmi 9A except for its rear camera and storage. This smartphone will also have 6.53-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. It will also share other features like MediaTek Helio G25 processor with Mali-G31 GPU, 5000mAh battery, 5MP Front facing(Selfie) camera and a fingerprint sensor.
The main difference between Redmi 9A & 9C will be of Camera and Storage. Redmi 9C will be having dual rear camera set-up with 13MP + 2MP camera on its back panel. The device will come with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.
The Redmi 9C will be priced around Rs. 11,000.

Redmi 9 - Specifications

Talking about Xiaomi Redmi 9, it will be the Pro Model of Redmi 9 Series. The smartphone will feature 6.53-inch IPS LCD HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels resolution. The device will be powered by MediaTek Helio G70 processor with Mali G-52 GPU. Talking about canera, it bags 5MP front facing (selfie) camera as other two models will have. However, on the back panel, there will be quad camera set-up with 13MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP. From storage perspective, the device will have 4GB RAM (whereas other two smartphones will have 3GB RAM) with 64GB internal storage. The battery capacity is same 5000mAh as of Redmi 9A & 9C.
The price of Redmi 9 will be between Rs. 13,000-14,000.

 Update :- A new update from another leakster reveals that the Redmi 9 will be powered by MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and the front camera will be of 8MP. He has also revealed the launch date for Vietnam market i.e. June 25 with having price under $150.
However, the company is not yet disclosing anything regarding when and at what price these devices will be launched and what could be the features these devices will bring with them.

Smartphone manufactures have been working hard to provide full screen to body ratio display smartphones. They are trying to find different ways and unique designs to let the users enjoy full screen body on the front. As we have discussed earlier about the new pop-up speaker smartphone concept patent by Sony, the Huawei company has now patent the smartphone with under-screen camera design.

There are also some other smartphone manufacturers like Oppo, Xiaomi, Nokia and others working on the under-display selfie camera smartphones. And now Huawei makes into the list with its new patents show-casing the product images.
The patent images by LetsGoDigital showing the Circular and Pill-shaped back camera modules. However, the final design is yet to be announced by Huawei.

The only difference, in these patent designs, is of back camera panel. The first patent shows the regular pill-shaped camera module with flashlight is inside of the module too.

In the second patent, there is a circular camera module instead, holding four sensors as you can see in the above image.
Out of these two designs patent by Huawei, the company may finalize one design or it may be thinking to launch two different models. The final call will be made by the company itself. However it would be interesting to see which company will become the first to launch Under-Display selfie camera smartphone. And more interesting than that will be to see the response from users as it will determine the future of this under-screen or under-display camera technology.

There is an image rolling out on Twitter and Reddit. Setting this image as wallpaper can actually soft-brick your smartphone. This image is known to affect smartphones from Google, Samsung, OnePlus, Nokia, Xiaomi and more having different effects on each of them. While Huawei handsets were reportedly not affected by this issue.

The issue is revealed by a leakster, Ice Universe, on Twitter. In his tweet as you can see above, he wrote - "Never set this picture as wallpaper, especially for Samsung mobile phone users!"
In his another tweet earlier today, he told about the issue being taken up by Samsung by quoting- "Update: Samsung has received feedback on this type of bug in mid-May, and has resolved this issue. Just wait for the subsequent firmware update and do not take the risk."

Why is This Happening?

According to users on Reddit and Twitter, the issue is caused by the color profile of the image. The image exceeds the color bound  compatibility of Android. Instead of using Android’s preferred sRGB, it uses the RGB color space, which Android 10 doesn’t convert and any incompatible handsets will be soft-bricked.

Do Not Try

DO NOT try this with your smartphone. If you do so, you may end-up losing your data and damaging your device because a factory reset will be needed to fix the issue. Due to the incompatibility of smartphone, it will lead to an immediate crash. However, an attempted reboot animation should also pop up but the smartphone will eventually get stuck in an endless booting sequence making it impossible to restart your device.

If you do end up soft-bricking your device, a factory reset will always fix the issue but that would make you lose all your data as well. Another method of fixing this issue is entering in safe mode and changing the wallpaper again.

Samsung Galaxy M31 launched in India back in February. The smartphone came with 6GB of RAM with two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB. The price for 64GB storage model is Rs. 16,999 and 128GB storage variant comes with price tag of Rs. 17,999.

Now, Samsung has listed the new 8GB RAM variant of Galaxy M31 on its official website with price tag of Rs. 19,999. The model has two color options - Blue and Black like the previous ones. However, the device is not available for sale yet but it is expected to go on sale soon. The device is listed under 'Notify Me' section on Samsung's Official Website.

Specifications

The Galaxy M31 with 6GB RAM is already available on e-commerce sites like Amazon, Samsung’s online store and all offline retail stores in the country. The smartphone comes with 64MP Samsung GW1 sensor equipped quad camera setup on the back. Other than that it has a whopping 6000 mAh battery. The smartphone comes with 6.4-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a U-shaped notch. The device runs on powerful Samsung Exynos 9611 processor.
The quad camera setup on the back holds 64 MP main camera, 8 MP 123° ultra wide camera, 5 MP macro and 5 MP depth cameras. Apart from that the device bags the 32 MP front facing (selfie) camera. Based on the reports by Omdia, Apple managed to sell around 19.5 million units of the iPhone 11 during the period January to March this year. Whereas the company was able to sell 13.6 million units of its iPhone XR which topped last year during the same period.
